Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the ilmKosh mobile apps and web app (together, “ilmKosh” or “the app”). By accepting them in the app or by using ilmKosh, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how your documents and data are handled.
What ilmKosh is
ilmKosh is a private library for your own documents: you import files, the app can recover their text with cloud OCR, and you can search them and ask AI questions answered only from your documents' content. Your library lives on your device (or in your browser, for the web app) — see the Privacy Policy for details.
Your documents, your responsibility
You may only import documents you have the right to use. You keep all rights to your documents; we claim none. Because your library is stored on your device or in your browser, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything important — deleting the app, clearing browser data, or losing the device can permanently remove your library, and we have no way to restore it.
Acceptable use
Don't use ilmKosh to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the service. Usage limits (including free-tier and fair-use caps on OCR pages and AI searches) exist to keep the service sustainable; circumventing them isn't allowed.
Cloud features
OCR, AI answers, and voice search require an internet connection and send the necessary content to cloud providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. These features depend on third-party services, and their availability, quality, and pricing may change. AI-generated answers are produced automatically from your documents; while grounding rules keep them tied to your texts, mistakes are possible — always verify against the cited source passage, which the app links for every claim.
Subscriptions
When paid subscriptions launch, they will be billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms, with prices shown before purchase. Free-tier limits and subscription benefits may be adjusted over time; active subscribers will be notified of material changes.
No warranty
ilmKosh is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that OCR output, search results, or AI answers are complete or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or documents, arising from your use of ilmKosh. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using ilmKosh at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the cloud features if these terms are violated. Your on-device library remains yours regardless.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as ilmKosh evolves — for example, when subscriptions launch. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
